What is Ginseng?
Ginseng, a plant belonging to the ivy family, grows primarily in the Northern Hemisphere and East Asia. Also known as mandrake because its roots resemble the human body, ginseng is considered the “root of immortality” according to traditional Chinese research due to its miraculous effects. A slow-growing and long-lived plant, ginseng takes 4 to 10 years to harvest.
Asian-Korean Ginseng (Red Ginseng): This type, grown in Korea and China, is known as “panax ginseng.” This variety, which acquires a red color through processing, stands out for its energizing properties. Therefore, this type is particularly preferred in skincare.
